The road hummed against the cards tires, a drone buried beneath the battle cry of driver and passenger. As Guy Sebastian cried out of the CD player, a souvenir collected from a servo amongst racks of sunglasses. Cows raised their heads in milk interest of the singing car that careened down the highway, the muffled sounds of “Battlescar” played for the fifth time escaping the sealed windows with the dramatic delivery from its passengers.
Having written recently about cow patties and four-wheel-driving, I found myself trying to write about cows in a different context. Flash back to my sister and I doing a five-hour drive without any music. We stopped at a servo and scoured the CD rack, leaving with a Guy Sebastian and Ricki-Lee album. We jammed Battlescar on repeat for most of that drive. I think after we had finished that drive both CD's had been extensively played.
Highly recommend stopping at a servo and picking some albums to soundtrack a long drive (if your car still has a CD player).
