Object Writing: Bulb

Glass scattered across the floor as the light gave way from the fitting. Darkness engulfed the room, a dangerous upgrade from the landmine lego that usually threatens these halls. “Don't move!” I screeched, imploring the dogs to understand these words somehow forgetting their usual command. “Stay!”, a focused command rose from my voice as I tore my phone from my pocket and fumbled the torch on. Glass everywhere. Glinting from beneath furniture and winking in the carpet nearby. Careful steps to the dogs and secure them in another room, grateful they weigh less than a spaniel combined. It was like treading through…

I was devastated that time ran out here. I was about to go full “Entrapment” on this and have it like walking through red wires trying not to trip the alarm. Broken glass gets everywhere! It gets a lot more stressful with pets or children around.

I am absolutely delighted by my lego reference. Thank you brain.

If you didn't guess, it was a light bulb that shattered.
