This was absolutely delightful. After focusing on the minutiae of things it was nice to go in the literal opposite direction with this one. I can't say I would be enthralled to enter this forest but I have had a wonderful laugh imagining this world. 

The thick stalks stretched high into the canopy above. Tall limbless pillars with huddles of thick foliage where branches should be. From here, you could just see a lumpy growth of green crowded around its tip. So foreign from the stretching limbs and smokey green gum leaves she knew back home. All that came to mind was asparagus. Impossibly tall, thick and perpetually moist looking like skin instead of bark. Shaking off the alien feeling that hummed through the forest, she moved forward stumbling down…
